The Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana (JJPL) (Based in New Orleans)
In 2006, The Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana (JJPL) launched the LGBT and HIV/AIDS Project  focused on protecting the rights of incarcerated LGBT youth and youth living with HIV/AIDS in secure care facilities in Louisiana.  The objectives of the project are to ensure that LGBT youth in the juvenile justice system receive quality representation in delinquency proceedings, reform the secure care facilities to provide quality services addressing the specific needs of LGBT youth or youth living with HIV/AIDS from entry to post-release, and significantly reduce the number of incidents of violence and harassment experienced by this population in secure confinement.

Safe Harbor is a non-profit, non-government agency in St. Tammany Parish serving women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. Belle Reve New Orleans
The mission of Belle Reve New Orleans is to provide permanent and transitional housing with full support services to adults and families living with HIV/AIDS. Concern for quality of life and equal availability of services is the founding principle of the agency. Therefore, service delivery is not influenced by race, gender, religion, age or sexual orientation. Belle Reve offers a private bedroom, community living environment, transportation to appointments and community recreation, case management, individual therapy, and 24-hour assistance by certified Personal Care Attendants. For non-residents, the Outreach Program of Belle Reve assists non-residents by providing such services as initial screening, mental health, group therapy, case management, a weekly luncheon, and follow-up contact. Brotherhood, Inc.

A Counseling Cooperative
A Counseling Cooperative is an organization of licensed counselors trained and experienced in counseling gays and lesbians, families of gays, gay couples and spouses, when one is gay, in a marriage. We deal with couple issues, coming out, grief, identity issues, and other special topics. A Counseling Cooperative provides quality mental health services in a safe and comfortable environment to the lesbian and gay community of the greater New Orleans area. All counselors are proficient with the issues facing gays and able to assist with learning coping skills for their families and personal crisis. Covenant House
Covenant House New Orleans continues to be the only provider in New Orleans of services to homeless and at-risk youth in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. On any given night, we shelter an average of 75 homeless kids in our 70-bed Crisis Center and two transitional living residences. Since opening in 1984, we have touched the lives of more than 17,000 youth, providing them with food, shelter, clothing, medical attention, individual and family counseling, substance abuse management, educational assistance, vocational and job training, living skills, and so much more. Covenant House New Orleans offers a comprehensive array of educational, job training, and employment programs to bear at this crucial juncture between a dismal past and a promising future for our kids. Our young people return to high school or attain their GED's and are guided by certified teachers and volunteer educators who serve as tutors and instructors. Our on-staff psychologist conducts individual and group counseling for anyone in need, including kids referred from our outreach program, and anyone in the community who has been affected by disaster. Permanent Supportive Housing allows young people with disabilities to have a safe and secure place to live, so that they can focus on the other challenges they face with the assistance of case management. The Permanent Supportive Housing Program is designed to help single young people as well as young people with children. The disorders range from Schizophrenia to Developmental Disabilities.

Crescent House Healing Center
Crescent House Healing Center protects victims of domestic violence and their children and empowers them to regain control of their lives. We are now providing non-residential services. Crescent House offers empowerment counseling, a 24-hour crisis line, comprehensive case management services, and intervention services for children including music, art, and play therapy to break the cycle of abuse. Drop-In Center
For over 15 years the Drop-In Center has filled a void in New Orleans by providing both medical and social services for runaway and homeless youth.  The overall mission of the Drop-In Center is to improve the health and quality of life of homeless youths, between the ages of 14 to 23 years, by providing for and broadening the comprehensive network of primary healthcare and substance abuse, mental health, case management and outreach services. Since its establishment in 1991, the Drop-In Center has provided primary and preventative healthcare to homeless, transient and at-risk youth.  In 2002, the Drop-In Center officially expanded to include a Supportive Services component comprised of a day center, outreach services and a peer education program.  Most recently in 2005, the mental health program was added to include the services of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychiatrist.
