Victims’ Voices Heard
Provides victims and survivors of violent offenses the opportunity to speak directly to the person who caused them harm. The dialogue process can only be initiated at the request of the victim. Offenders participate in the program only because they want to do something to help the victim reclaim their life.
Dialogue gives the victim the opportunity:
• Express anger and pain directly to the person responsible
• Ask questions and receive answers
• Hear responsibility and remorse expressed
• Feel empowered
Apology Letter Bank
Letters of apology from offenders are kept in a confidential file. If a victim/survivor wants to access this information they may contact VVH to see if a letter of apology has been written.
